Mark Virag was retained by GMAC as a subject matter expert in DMS integration. The project’s objective was to integrate several business functions with the leading DMS systems. The business functions spanned several GMAC operations in the U.S. and Canada, including five legacy systems and two systems still in development. Analysis of the technical requirements showed that the correct approach was to develop a comprehensive service-oriented interface.
Mr. Virag had a lead role in defining this approach, and cultivating support for it among business and technical stakeholders. He participated in business requirements analysis, and authored detailed specifications for the interface. Mr. Virag also worked with vendors of DMS and other “consuming” software, including the first successful implementation of the Rating API.
